Every ceramic coating service begins with a thorough exterior wash to remove loose dirt, road grime, bugs, oils, and other surface debris. Once the vehicle is clean, we move into chemical decontamination using an iron remover. The vehicle is then completely dried before polishing begins.This includes more than simply drying the large painted panels. Water can hide inside mirrors, emblems, trim, door handles, body seams, moldings, and other tight areas. If trapped water drips onto the paint during polishing or coating application, it can interfere with the process. We carefully dry the vehicle and remove trapped moisture wherever possible before moving forward.Once the paint is completely clean and decontaminated, we inspect the vehicle under proper lighting. A vehicle can be only a few months or a few years old and still have heavy embedded fallout, rust-colored staining, water spots, overspray, oxidation, or other severe contamination.What If the Paint Is Heavily Contaminated?If heavy contamination remains after our normal iron removal and clay bar process, we may perform targeted spot polishing rather than aggressively polishing the entire vehicle.Heavy or deeply embedded contamination can require substantially more polishing and correction to safely remove. Continuing to aggressively machine polish contaminated paint can also create additional marring, scratching, or unnecessary clear-coat removal.For that reason, our priority is always to work within what is safe for the paint.In these situations, we will focus additional polishing on the areas that can be safely improved and prepare the rest of the vehicle for coating without unnecessarily chasing every remaining stain, particle, or defect. This means a heavily contaminated vehicle may not achieve the same final appearance from the included enhancement as a vehicle that arrives with clean, well-maintained paint.Is a Paint Enhancement the Same as Paint Correction?Not exactly. A paint enhancement is a lighter polishing process focused on improving gloss, clarity, and overall appearance without aggressively chasing every defect.Paint correction is a more intensive process intended for vehicles with heavier defects or contamination and may require stronger compounds, more aggressive pads, multiple polishing stages, and significantly more time.Our $399 ceramic coating special includes a paint enhancement. If the vehicle requires more extensive correction to safely achieve the level of finish you are looking for, we will discuss those options with you before performing any additional work.

After polishing, the vehicle may look extremely clean, but microscopic polishing oils and residue can still remain on the surface. Once the paint has been fully prepared, the ceramic coating is carefully applied by hand using a dedicated coating applicator. We work in small, controlled sections to ensure even and consistent coverage across the entire surface. The coating is typically applied using overlapping passes in a crosshatch pattern so no areas are missed. After application, the coating is allowed to flash for the appropriate amount of time based on temperature, humidity, and the specific product being used.Once the coating has flashed, we carefully level the surface using clean microfiber towels. After the ceramic coating has been applied and leveled, the entire vehicle receives a final inspection under proper lighting. We carefully check the paint from multiple angles to make sure the coating has been applied evenly and that there are no high spots, streaks, missed areas, or excess product remaining. Special attention is also given to body lines, edges, trim, and other areas where coating can collect. Once the final inspection is complete, the coating begins its curing process.During the initial curing period, the coating is still bonding and hardening on the surface. Because of this, we recommend keeping the vehicle dry and avoiding washing, rain, sprinklers, or unnecessary environmental exposure during the early cure period whenever possible.
